Kaysie Romana, President Elect/Communications Director

Hello MHVSHRM community! My name is Kaysie Romana, SHRM-CP, and I serve as the MHVSHRM’s President Elect and Communications Director. I graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Currently, I work for Cornerstone Family Healthcare, a non-profit community health center, as the Vice President of Human Resources. I have been employed with Cornerstone since 2012. My HR interests include employment law and recruitment and retention. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my niece and nephew. I am proud to be part of the MHVSHRM BOD and look forward to continuing to provide educational opportunities to fellow HR professionals.

Why did you become involved with MHVSHRM Chapter?

I had many invitations at first but thought I had to be SHRM certified.
I realized that my degree and field work qualify me to still join and
benefit greatly from the monthly trainings that were being offered.
I understood the need for best practices and thought, “what better way
to see it up close and personal than to participate in the chapter meetings
and be amongst other HR professionals” in my area.  This could only
help me stay on top of my game. I’m so glad I did!

You can add your picture, biography and other information to the MHVSHRM site by adding to your MHVSHRM member profile.  To do this, log in to the Member Area of our website and choose Member Information Editor.
